Police track IP address trading porn to Fort Lauderdale apartment

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 32-year-old Fort Lauderdale man is accused of possessing and promoting child pornography.

Fort Lauderdale police detectives, along with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, raided an apartment at 814 NE 14th Place on Thursday and arrested Jorge Vasquez.

Police said their investigation led them to the apartment, where an IP address was used to trade child pornography.

Authorities said they seized a computer containing more than 10 illicit videos of children as young as 4 being sexually abused by adults.

Vasquez was taken into custody on 10 counts of child pornography possession, one count of use of computer to compile child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography with intent to promote.

He was scheduled to appear in bond court Friday morning.
