The victim told the neighbor that no one was supposed to be at his home, so the neighbor called police.

Detectives said the burglar had left by the time officers arrived, but with the witnesses' statements they were able to identify the culprit as Joseph Schutz, a real estate agent with Re/Max.

Police said Schutz, 44, admitted to taking the items from the home after seeing that it was listed for sale.

Property from the Wilton Manors residence was found in Shutz's home, police said.
