Local 10 News has learned that Karro's original paperwork was incorrect. When the mistake was discovered, Karro was ordered back into custody.
Karro was first arrested May 28 after he inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl while they were at the Karro Art Gallery in April, police said.
According to an arrest report, Karro, who is a substitute rabbi at Shaare Ezra Sephardic Congregation, intentionally grabbed the buttocks of the victim. Police said Karro also kissed the girl's neck after sitting her on his lap. Karro and the victim have known one other for five years.
Karro denied the allegations to Local 10 News last month, saying he felt sorry for the girl. He claimed somebody was "dictating her how to act, how to say, what to say."
The rabbi said a mother's "jealousy" is the reason for the allegations.
"If they don't have their ways, they will hunt you down all the way," Karro said.
Karro is now being held without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
