FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 3-year-old boy was taken to a hospital after falling from a third-floor balcony, a Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman said.
The boy fell off the balcony Friday morning at a home on North Dixie Highway, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Division Chief Timothy Heiser said.
Heiser said the boy landed on a hot tub cover, got up and walked back to the second floor to tell his grandfather what happened.
Paramedics arrived and took the boy to Broward Health Medical Center as a precaution.
