The Pro Bowl safety will be honored during a banquet Thursday night at Jungle Island.

Taylor was killed after five intruders traveled from Fort Myers to Taylor's Palmetto Bay home to steal money, believing he was out of town.

All five suspects have been convicted in Taylor's death.

Other former Hurricanes to be honored include Taylor's teammate, linebacker Jonathan Vilma (2000-03), defensive end Kevin Patrick (1990-93), defensive end Rusty Medearis (1990-94), linebacker Winston Moss (1983-86) and assistant football coach Rob Chudzinski (1996-2003).
