At least 3 shot at Miami apartment complex

Car found at nearby gas station believed to be connected to shooting

MIAMI – At least three people were shot at a Miami apartment Monday afternoon.

Miami police were called to an apartment building at 3600 SW 17th Terrace at about 2:15 p.m.

Sky 10 was above the crime scene as blood could be seen in the doorway of an apartment.

"I saw some guy come out with a gun (and) some other guy behind him stumbling," witness Alex Hernandez told Local 10 News. "He fell down and some chick came out screaming."

Hernandez said the man with the gun was also shot in the shoulder.

Paramedics took the three victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Their conditions are not known.

A car believed to be connected to the shooting was found at a nearby Marathon gas station, Sgt. Freddie Cruz said.

"It could be a witness, could be a victim or it could actually be the offender," Cruz said of the driver.

Police were questioning several people while investigators try to determine what led to the shooting.
