According to police, the tractor trailer was making a right turn from 93rd Avenue onto 25th Street when the black Ferrari, driven by Jose Luis Martin, 26, smashed against the cargo trailer.
The speedometer on the Ferrari was stuck on 75 mph after the crash, suggesting Martin was speeding at the time, police said.
Police said Martin and a woman who was riding in his car had left La Covacha nightclub just minutes before the crash.
Police believe the driver was intoxicated, but said he refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. He was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and blood was drawn.
Martin was charged with DUI involving bodily injury.
The woman, who had no identification at the time of the crash, was also taken to Kendall Regional and is expected to survive her injuries.
