School bus driver accused of sexually assaulting student in Miami

Police: Sexual assault occurred about 10 times

MIAMI – A school bus driver is behind bars after sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl multiple times, Miami-Dade police said.

According to the arrest report, Enrique Napoles, 44, placed his fingers inside the victim's vagina about 10 times, with the latest incident happening on Monday.

Police said the victim told detectives that Napoles would pull the bus over on the county swale and close all the windows. She said he would then place paper towels on a seat at the rear of the bus where the allegedly sexual assault would occur.

The report states he would then clean the victim's vagina with baby wipes after she would bleed.

Local 10 News reporter John Turchin spoke with Napoles' wife of 20 years who called the allegations against her husband "ridiculous" and said they have three children together.

Detectives said Napoles admitted that he was alone on the school bus with the victim as she had described, but denied that any sexual assault had occurred.

According to police, Napoles is a private school bus driver who used to own a company called Napoles Buses.

He currently is employed by J&A Bus Services, driving students to the following schools:

American Senior High

Palm Springs North Elementary

Spanish Trace

Mater Academy

Lawton Chiles Middle School

Country Club Middle School

Napoles is charged with 10 counts of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12. On Friday afternoon, a judge denied he be released on bond.

Parents who believe their children may also have been victims are urged to call the Miami-Dade Police Department at 305-715-3300.
