When he arrived at the motel room, two men were already inside. According to Szwajder, Matherly locked herself inside the bathroom while one of the men put him in a choke hold and told him, "You know what this is. Give me everything."
He said another man pointed a gun at his head until he gave up his belongings, which included a gold chain, a Target debit card, $46 in cash, his wallet and his ID.
According to Szwajder, Matherly called him a couple days later and told him, "That's what you get for cheating on me."
She then allegedly threatened to "send these guys over to your mom's house" unless he met her at another location and gave her $300 in cash.
Szwajder told detectives that he drove to the location with the cash and spotted one of the men who attacked him sitting in a white Chrysler. He then decided to pass the house and call police.
Matherly faces charges of robbery with a firearm and extortion.
