On social media, a few of Maurice Cabrera's friends and family shared their sadness Monday.
The 21-year-old was killed at daylight Sunday in the streets of Miami's Flagami neighborhood.
Like a "true and true 305 boy," he was a fan of Pitbull, the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat.
He was interested in the Rastafari culture and collecting sneakers.
And what probably caused his death, a friend said on social media, is that he and his "homies had some enemies."
Cabrera started to get in trouble with the law when he was a teenager, a friend said.
He was going to be a father, his cousin said on Twitter.
"Another friend gone too soon," an Instagram user who posted his picture said. She did not want to be identified.
Detectives were asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-6160.
