FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A South Florida mother is in jail after taking her children from home to home to burglarize them, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Heather Brown, 38, of Oakland Park, was arrested Monday on charges of burglary, grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Broward County Judge Matthew Destry said during bond court Tuesday morning that Brown allegedly drove her kids around while she burglarized houses in the neighborhood.
Destry cited the probable cause report, saying she shielded her children from deputies, who were looking for two juveniles.
It was not immediately known if the children were taken into custody.
Brown was being held on $50,000 bond.
