SR 836 lane closures coming due to installation of open road tolling structures

New tolling structures to alleviate traffic between I-95, NW 27th Ave.

MIAMI – Over the next five days, the Dolphin Expressway will be closing and opening lanes, with the major impact happening this weekend.

Lanes will be closed to permit the installation of new open road tolling structures that will allow cars to flow more smoothly on the highway between Interstate 95 and Northwest 27th Avenue.

Here's what you have to know:

Heading Westbound between I-95 and NW 27th Ave.

Lanes will be completely closed between

Wednesday, Oct. 15:  9 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Thursday, Oct. 16: 9 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Friday, Oct. 17: 11 p.m. - Monday, Oct. 20 at 5 a.m.

Heading Eastbound between NW 27th Ave. and NW 12th Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 18: 10 p.m. - 8 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 19: 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.

Detoured routes for drivers

Westbound drivers on southbound I-95

Take the exit to westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway before reaching SR 836.

Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd  Avenue/LeJeune Road.

Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right Drivers on northbound I-95.

Continue northbound on I-95 and take the westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway  exit.

Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd  Avenue/LeJeune Road.

Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right Drivers on westbound I-395.

Take the exit ramp to northbound I-95.

Exit to westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway.

Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd  Avenue/LeJeune Road.

Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right.

Eastbound Drivers      

Exit at southbound NW 27th Avenue.

Turn left onto NW 7th Street.

Turn left onto NW 12th Avenue and take the entrance ramp to eastbound SR 836 on the right Drivers on northbound NW 27th Avenue.

Turn right onto NW 7th Street.

Turn left onto NW 12th Avenue and take the entrance ramp to eastbound SR 836 on the right.
