Police: Victim drove himself to Publix parking lot where he died

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Police are still searching for the person who shot and killed a man at a North Miami apartment complex on Sunday.

Police said Juan Marimon was shot outside an apartment building at Northeast Sixth Avenue and  129th Street early in the morning. Police said he was working as a security guard at the apartment.

Marimon then drove himself across the street to a Publix parking lot where he died.

A source told Local 10 News that the apartment building is known to have drug dealers around.

At this time, it's unclear what led to the fatal shooting.
