FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A small fishing boat was severely damaged after it caught fire while it was suspended on a lift in Fort Lauderdale Friday morning.
The fire happened off the water at Southeast 15th Avenue and 13th Court.

Fire officials said heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the center console of the 25-foot SeaVee center console fishing boat.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no other boats or nearby buildings suffered any damage.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
