FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman was rescued from a fire at her Fort Lauderdale apartment Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Regal Trace apartments on Northwest Fourth Avenue.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from apartment No. 7.
Firefighters pulled a woman out of the apartment. She was taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Her condition was not immediately known.
