MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was shot to death Wednesday during an apparent domestic dispute near a northwest Miami-Dade County preschool.
The fatal shooting occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Northwest 22nd Court near the Academy of Knowledge Preschool.
Miami-Dade police Detective Roy Rutland said a man and woman, identified as Michelle Wilcox, 33, of Opa-Locka, were arguing when the man pulled out a gun and shot her. The man then drove off in a white sedan.
Police have not identified the shooter.
A motive for the shooting has not been determined, but police said it appears to be domestic related.
