SANFORD, Fla. – It's a small world. The first officer who arrived at the scene where George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin was married to the crime technician who later collected the evidence.
Sanford Police Department Crime scene technician Diana Smith testified Tuesday in the second-degree murder Zimmerman trial. Attorneys asked her to identify the Feb. 26, 2012 evidence collected.
Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda flashed pictures of Trayvon's body. She showed the 9 mm Kel-Tec gun that Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon. And attorneys held up the hooded sweatshirt.
