CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police released 911 calls made by a woman when her 4-year-old son died last week.
Destene Simmons called 911 on June 10 about her son, Antwan Hope.

"Can you send someone to this address?" Simmons asked the dispatcher.
"What's going on?"
"I just needed someone to come out," Simmons replied, then hung up without giving the dispatcher an address.
Simmons called back a second time and gave her address. Dispatchers called her afterwards when officers arrived and Simmons didn't answer the door.

Officers then found Hope dead inside Simmons' apartment. Police said because she made the came from her cell phone, they were unable to pinpoint the address the first time.
Police arrested Simmons a day later on an outstanding traffic warrant. After she posted bond, she was Baker Acted.
Simmons lost custody of Hope in 2011 when police say she tried to smother him.
A funeral for Hope was held Tuesday. The medical examiner has yet to release the cause of death.
