Son of Miami's 'Real Housewife' In Accident

MIAMI – Tragedy has struck a second time for the "Real Housewives" reality franchise. The son of one of "The Real Housewives of Miami" is in the hospital following an accident last weekend.

Alexia Echevarria's 13-year-old son Frankie is in ICU at a local hospital and underwent surgery Thursday, according to his father Herman who posted it on his Facebook page.

"Today is the 4th day that our son Frankie fights for his life," Echevarria wrote. "Thank you for all the calls and support. Frankie is being attended by the greatest doctors and Intensive care unit personnel. Please keep on praying for our boy."

According to published reports, Frankie was the passenger of a car that crashed during wet weather. The cause of the accident or who was driving the car has not been revealed.

"The Real Housewives of Miami" is returning for a second season, the Venue editor assured fans on her Facebook page before the accident. But she hinted there would be changes to the cast.

Russell Armstrong, Taylor Armstrong's husband of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," committed suicide Monday. The Bravo network has not said if they will hold off the series' second season premiere that was scheduled for next month.
