At the moment, thunderstorm activity remains disorganized but satellite loops show a broad low-level circulation centered just north of Central Cuba with a possible mid-level circulation around 250 miles to the northeast. Some of the computer models suggest redevelopment of the surface low as it moves through the northwest Bahamas late tonight and Saturday morning.

South Florida residents shouldn't be surprised if some redevelopment occurs with the remnants of Emily, but the strongest winds and heaviest rains will be on the east side of any circulation center. The latest computer models suggest that should be over the Bahamas.

Significant redevelopment is not expected, but if we get surprised and that does occur, it should be well to the northeast of South Florida.
