Police Search For Liquor Store, Game Stop Thieves

Patron, Grey Goose, Hpnotiq Can Be Sold On Street, Store Owner Says

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police are on the hunt for a group of men who burglarized a liquor store and game store early Friday morning at the corner of Northwest 27th Avenue and 196th Street.

The thieves took the Patron, Grey Goose and Hpnotiq, over $20,000 in alcohol. According to investigators, the thieves apparently made their way through a vacant shop next door, breaking the lock, then chopping away at the wall.

"You can see its planned out. It did appear these crooks were focusing their efforts on only certain types of liquors," Stadium Liquor co-owner Kenny Paris told Local 10.

Paris says the merchandise was the expensive kind that could likely be resold in the streets.

He says that after he reviewed the surveillance video, he saw four men carrying the liquor out. Once they were done at the liquor store, their next step was to hit the Game Stop.

The thieves made several more holes in the wall to make their way inside. But by doing so, they set off the motion sensor and a loud alarm.

When Miami Gardens police arrived, the men were gone.

The stores are now an absolute mess, after almost every wall was chopped out.

According to Paris, the men left behind several pieces of evidence which will likely lead to several arrests.

"There are a lot of dumb criminals out there. They are going to get caught," he said.

So far, no arrests have been made. Police will likely release the surveillance video later today.
