The retail industry has been experiencing a worker shortage, triggered in part by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, Walmart hired more than 13,000 pharmacy technicians and 4,500 truck drivers.

Recently, the retail giant started offering wages of $16.40 an hour and up to $30 an hour for some jobs in specific markets.
