Taking hot baths can help you burn calories

MIAMI – Taking a hot bath can actually do more than help your aching muscles.

According to a British study, taking hot baths can actually help you burn calories.

Yes, that's right - a hot bath can be just as effective as a walk.

Researchers found that by increase core body temperature by one degree, participants burned the same amount of calories as someone who walked for 30 minutes.

Researchers also found that hot baths can boost your immune system, and can help your overall cardio-metablolic health.

These recent findings indicate that passive heating has the potential to induce significant systemic benefits, which in some instances may be comparable to or even greater than the effects evident following exercise.
