MIAMI – Sports talk radio show host Amber Wilson announced on Tuesday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
During the 790 The Ticket WAXY show, Wilson said that without a family history of breast cancer the diagnosis came as a surprise.

"I have been very dedicated to health and wellness," said Wilson, who is also a Fort Lauderdale attorney.
Wilson's message was a reminder about how even women who feel healthy and are fit need to be proactive about regular self-exams, screening and testing.
"Ladies, touch the girls," Wilson said. "Touch them often."
The process of diagnosis started about two months ago and she is planning on having surgery next week, she said. Wilson added that she will be sharing her experience on Twitter.
