South Florida remains the most affected by the Zika virus, with more than half of the confirmed cases in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties.

One case was confirmed in Miami-Dade County and another was confirmed in Palm Beach County. That brings the total number of Zika virus cases to 40 in Miami-Dade County -- the highest in the state -- and seven in Palm Beach County.

Broward County has the second-most confirmed cases with 15.

Another pregnant woman has also been confirmed as having contracted the Zika virus. Health officials do not reveal the counties of the cases involving pregnant women.
