At Rice N Wings, rodent droppings were discovered throughout the kitchen and storage areas, while Alamod Caribbean Restaurant had both rodent droppings and live roaches crawling on walls and kitchen equipment.

Kosher de Brazil was also found to have live roaches near food prep areas, including on a dishwashing machine and behind a triple sink.

Additionally, Sprinkles and Scoops Ice Cream Shop faced issues with flying insects and sanitation concerns.

While most establishments were allowed to reopen after cleaning and re-inspection, Sprinkles and Kosher de Brazil still require re-inspections before they can resume operations.

Meanwhile, no establishments in Miami-Dade were ordered shut again last week, a trend that continues to raise concerns given the county’s large number of restaurants and the frequent closures reported in less populated parts of the state.
