Despite multiple restaurants in South Florida being ordered shut due to health violations, Huang’s China Buffet in Hialeah was not among them, even after inspectors found approximately 30 dead roaches under buffet counters.

The restaurant received 16 violations, including for temperature control issues with raw and cooked food, unsanitary food storage practices, and soiled kitchen equipment, prompting a follow-up inspection.
Wicked Cheesesteaks Pizza & Subs in Fort Lauderdale, Blended Family Foods in Lauderhill and Bistro Creole in Sunrise were all temporarily closed due to roach activity, dead insects and other sanitation concerns.
No places in Miami-Dade or the Florida Keys were ordered shut last week.
