On Monday, Caribbean fast food chain Pollo Tropical announced the launch of their new Rum Mojito under their new brand, “La Palmita Cocktail Co.,” just in time for summer.

The new Rum Mojito, which will be sold in ready-to-go, chilled cans for $2, is the brand’s first ever proprietary cocktail.

As for how the mojito will taste? According to the restaurant, they tried to make it as authentic as possible. The Rum Mojito is produced and packaged right here in South Florida.

”Our guests know what a good mojito tastes like, so it was important for us to create one that was as authentic as our food,” says Hope Diaz, Chief Marketing Officer of Fiesta Restaurant Group, parent company of Pollo Tropical. “Our real rum mojito made here in South Florida is a fun extension of our menu and complements our food perfectly. We’re excited to offer our fans a great cocktail that we’re proud of and know they will love.”

According to Pollo Tropical, the Rum Mojito is made with real white rum, sparkling water, natural lime juice, and mint flavors. It has a 5.8% ABV.

The cocktail can be found exclusively at most Pollo Tropical locations across the state for dine-in, drive-thru, or carry out.

Therefore, get ready to pair your TropiChop with a mojito, Florida.
