FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā Get ready to get spooked! Nightmare Village has taken over Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale with two terrifying haunted houses that promise to give even the bravest thrill seekers a fright.
Local 10ā²s Alexis Frazier was brave enough to experience it before they opened. Sheās visited Nightmare Village twice before, and this time she brought her co-anchor Andrew Perez along for the scare.
Nightmare Village is definitely not for the faint of heart.
First up, Alexis and Andrew visited Ravenswood State Prison: Contamination -- home to some of the most vile criminals, and there was a surprise around every corner.
āI loved the prison,ā Alexis said. āWhen we first got our mugshots, that was pretty fun.ā
āClearly, weāve never had our mugshots taken, because we did horribly,ā Andrew added.
House number two was Poison Creek Blood Harvest. This one has spine chilling effects and actors who really know how to get under your skin.
āItās a vibe -- a Halloween vibe,ā Andrew said.
āWe are very interactive, immersive, we are very in your face, we will push you to the limit. Itās an incredible hunt,ā Nightmare Village co-creator Freddy Hernandez said.
Nightmare Village is open from 7 p.m. until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and closes at 10 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets from now through Oct. 17 are $10 cheaper. After that, the price goes up.
