WESTON, Fla. – More Broward County students are learning step-by-step instructions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation to help someone in a cardiac or breathing emergency.
On Thursday, at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, a group of students practiced the instructions thanks to new CPR training kits that included an adult manikin.
Rita Case participated in the class. The president and chief executive officer of the Rick Case Automotive Group donated hundreds of kits to Broward County Public Schools.
“We know that these kids are going off this summer. They’ll be going to concerts, sporting events; they’ll be at the movie theaters, at the mall,” Rita Case said.
The students said they felt grateful and empowered by the experience that Case’s philanthropy made possible.
The Rick Case Automotive Group operates over a dozen car dealerships in South Florida and Atlanta, Georgia, and also helps to support the Boys and Girls Clubs in Broward County, and provides four-year scholarships to Nova Southeastern University.
