Seminole Tribe of Florida unveils new guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Hotel to be completed by summer 2019

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – The Seminole Tribe of Florida unveiled its new guitar-shaped hotel Wednesday with a smash.

Once finished, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be over 35 stories tall, but it isn't the only thing the Hard Rock is expanding.

The $1.5 billion renovation includes doubling the size of the casino and eventually tearing down Hard Rock Live and building a state-of-the-art, 7,000 seat venue.

Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt was on hand, as well as Iron Maidens drummer, Nicko.

When it is finished in the summer of 2019, the hotel will have over 1,300 rooms and Bora Bora-inspired villas surrounded by water.

"Not only do you have all these individual lagoons that you can swim through, but literally rooms submerged in water, where you can stay in overnight with butler service … waterways and canals and lazy rivers -- just a lot of fun stuff,"  Hard Rock International Chairman Jim Allen said.

The hotel remains under construction and is expected to be completed by summer of 2019.
