MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The Miami-Dade County Fair opened its more than 80 rides and more than 150 food stands on Thursday afternoon at Tamiami Park with a “Retro Rewind” theme.
The fair’s games and entertainment experiences also include a circus, an ice skating show, a petting zoo, pig races, a daily parade, and live music.
The fair runs through April 6, except for March 17-18 and March 31 and April 1.
The front gate closes at 10 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday and at 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It opens again at 4 p.m., on Friday; and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
The entrances for vehicles are along Coral Way at Southwest 112 and 114 Avenues, along 117 Avenue at Southwest 22 and 21 Streets, and at Southwest 107 Avenue and 17 Street.
Minors are not allowed in without adults.
The fair doesn’t allow guests to bring in food or drinks, pets, commercial recording equipment or drones, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, selfie sticks, fire poppers, fireworks, or face masks.
The online presale general admission before Wednesday was $12. It is $5 on Thursday, March 19, and April 2.
The online admission goes up to $14, although Sedano’s Supermarkets will be selling tickets for $12. Tickets at the fair are $16, and there is an unlimited ride wristband and a season pass. Kids younger than 5 years old and seniors are free.
