Generation Alpha picks up new slang

Millennials raising Generation Alpha kids are dealing with a whole new slang dictionary.

Good Morning America’s Yi-Jin Yu recently broke down some basic slang that over 39 million Gen Alpha, kids born after 2010, have been using online.

“Bet” = OK or sure

“Rizz” = Charm

“Slaps” = Excellent

“Bussin” = Excellent or delicious

“Cap” = Lie, brag, or fake

“GOAT” = Greatest of All Time

“Sigma” = A cool leader

“Fanum tax” = To steal

The slang is developing and changing quickly on social media, so the meaning of “skibidi” depends on the context, but could be used to describe something bad or dumb.
