And she's telling it in two parts.

Dey Street Books announced Wednesday that āCher: The Memoir, Part Oneā will come out Nov. 19, with the second volume to follow in 2025. Dey Street, a HarperCollins imprint, is promising a ātrue story, in intimate detail,ā starting with her āoften-chaoticā childhood and famed and troubled partnership with Sonny Bono.
āWith her trademark honesty and humor, āCher: The Memoirā traces how this diamond in the rough succeeded with no plan and little confidence to become the trailblazing superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century,ā the publisher's announcement reads in part. ā'Cher: The Memoir, Part One' follows her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono ā and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart.ā
Cher, 78, is the only woman to top the Billboard charts in seven consecutive decades, her hits including āDark Lady,ā āBelieveā and āDJ Play a Christmas Song.ā She won an Oscar for her starring role in āMoonstruckā and has received numerous other honors, including membership in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
