Rapper Baby Blue tweets from hospital bed, says he has to learn to breathe, walk again

DAVIE, Fla. – South Florida rapper Baby Blue remains in the hospital after a shooting at a Davie bowling alley.

The member of the group Pretty Ricky was at Sparez Bowling Alley late Monday night when two men approached him and tried to rob him of a gold chain, according to Davie Police.

That’s when someone opened fire, striking the rapper. Two suspects fled the scene, according to police.

Sending a tweet from his hospital bed Thursday morning, Blue, whose real name is Diamond Blue Smith, thanked the medical team attending to him and said that he remained in the intensive care unit.

He informed fans that the bullet traveled through his lungs and was stuck in his back. “I have to learn to breathe & walk again.”
