HAVANA – Reports that salsa singer Marc Anthony was set to perform in Cuba sometime next month with other big-named Puerto Rican artists are false, according to his publicist and the website Diario de Cuba.
The website originally cited an article on the Cuban website Radio Reloj, that the Grammy-winner had scheduled two performances, including one at Havana's Plaza of the Revolution.

The article also reported other Puerto Rican salsa stars like "El Gran Combo" and Olga Tañón would be joining him. Tañón performed in Havana for the "Peace Without Borders" concert spearheaded by Colombian singer and activist, Juanes, back in 2009.
Anthony's publicist, Blanca Lassalle, denied the claims in a written statement to Diario de Cuba.
"Marc Anthony has not confirmed any concerts or personal trips to Cuba," Lassalle wrote. "These claims are totally false."
Radio Reloj claimed Anthony was to perform at "Las Terrazas" in the province of Pinar del Rio, the hometown of late Cuban folk singer, Polo Montañez. He was reportedly planning to negotiate the rights to some of his songs.
The second concert was to take place at the Plaza of the Revolution in Havana, the site of many marches and speeches by former Cuban leader Fidel Castro and his brother and current leader, Raul.
Anthony's latest album 3.0 is nominated for a Grammy Sunday for "Best Tropical Latin Album."
