POMPANO BEACH, Fla. ā Officials with Pompano Beach High School have called a recent racially charged social media exchange between students was an isolated incident.
Local 10 News has reported that students at the high school had complained to school administrators that they failed to act properly to racial tensions at the school including an Instagram post in which a student says sheād use the N-word if anyone called her a cracker.

Broward County Public Schools addressed the posts on Monday which a statement that said: āBroward County Public Schools is proud of its diverse student population and community. Our District is committed to providing learning environments that foster inclusion and respect.
āThe schoolās administration is aware of the social media exchange involving three students and confirms this situation was an isolated incident -- the result of an ongoing conflict between the students.
"Based on the schoolās investigation and review of the incident, the students involved received the appropriate disciplinary consequences as outlined in the Districtās Student Code of Conduct Disciplinary Matrix. School administrators remain committed to working with the students and families regarding this matter."Ā
