KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. – Power went out for several hours Monday morning at MAST Academy in Key Biscayne, Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials said.
A school representative said power had been out at the school at 3979 Rickenbacker Causeway since about 8:30 a.m.

Traffic lights outside the school came back on just before 11:30 a.m. and lights were seen turning on inside the school.
Heavy storms were reported in the area earlier in the morning, but it wasn't immediately clear whether they caused the power outage.
According to Florida Power & Light, 340 customers were without power in the Key Biscayne area, including the school and the Rickenbacker Marina.
