PLANTATION, Fla. – What do you get when you add engaging stage presentations and two dozen booth exhibitors? Answer: the Local 10 South Florida School Expo.
This year's expo took place Saturday, July 18, at the Westfield Broward in Plantation.

Local 10 News personalities were on hand throughout the event to meet and greet with mall patrons.
Sesame Street's Elmo made a special appearance on stage, along with slithery, slippery and slimy creatures, all courtesy of the Museum of Discovery and Science.
There were also performances by local student dance and martial arts groups, as well as the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra, which played three classical music compositions.
The expo drew large crowds and ran from noon to 5 p.m. It was free and open to the public.
