MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The convention center was packed for the purpose of packing meals for the hungry.

Last month, more than 300 employees from UiPath, a company with global reach specializing in AI and automation, converged at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach for a time of giving back.

With 1950′s music playing in the background and their hands shuffling nonperishables, the UiPath team filled 200 food bags in less than one hour. Volunteers from the Lions Club joined the effort. It was all to benefit The Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

“Integrating local volunteer opportunities into our events is a huge passion point for our organization,” said Ben Fiechtner, President, Americas at UiPath. “It’s not only a way to support the local community but it’s how we build that same sense of community within our team.”

UiPath purchased all of the food for the community service project, everything from cereals to canned protein. Each bag contained two breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The food was distributed to Miami Lighthouse school students and senior population.

“Thanks to all UiPath employees and Lions Club Hunger Relief Committee for participating in Miami Lighthouse’s biggest food packing event ever and for helping solve food insecurity among our blind and visually impaired program participants,” said Virginia Jacko, President and CEO, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind.

“We were so grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Miami Lighthouse on this important cause,” added Fiechtner.
