Black Art, Black Artists Shaping Tomorrow’s History

This new installment will feature works for show and sale from Dillard Center for the Arts’ Advanced Placement (AP) students and instructors. The exhibit of photography and studio art features creative re-imaginings and reflections of historical Black leaders, community icons, and hometown heroes.

Cost: Admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students. Free admission for military personnel and kids age six and under.

As the largest boat and yacht event in the world, attendees will enjoy discovering everything from kayaks to superyachts to the latest aquatic innovations. The on-land portion of the event will take place at the newly reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park. The in-water components of the show will take place at Venetian Marina, Herald Plaza, Museum Park Marina, and Yacht Haven Grande Miami.

The free event takes place in the New World Center’s Michael Tilson Thomas Performance Hall and includes an intimate live performance by NWS Fellows.

This is a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. This week will feature Caribbean American musician and steel pan protégé, Kobie Alleyne. Alleyne is a musical prodigy making his own waves in the steelpan world – academically and as a soloist. He was the first-ever steelpan performer to receive a full Presidential Scholarship to attend Berkelee School of Music. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn.
