Starting Thursday, Jan. 5, the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and Rickenbacker Causeway Park Operations will premiere the new "Thursday Night Food Truck Round-Up."
Guests will enjoy a wide variety of culinary treats served up by popular gourmet food truck vendors, along with picturesque views of Biscayne Bay.
Note: The event will be held every Thursday (weather permitting), with the exception of these block out dates: Feb. 16 (Progressive Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail) and March 23 & 30 (Miami Open Tennis Tournament).

The Humane Society of Broward County is hosting a two-day Summer Splash Pet Adopt-A-Thon. There are always a variety of dogs, cats and rabbits looking for new families to love. Adopt any pet six months and older and their adoption fee is ½ price. When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County all pets are spayed or neutered. In addition, they receive a host of other things, including preliminary vaccinations, a microchip, a 10 day limited health care plan and a bag of Purina ONE pet food.
