MIAMI – The mercury in South Florida still hits the 90's and that nip in the air is just a mosquito looking for lunch, but fall is here, which means Thanksgiving... and Black Friday... is just around the corner.
While it used to be a tradition, for, oh, like 400 years to spend the holiday sharing special moments with family, Thanksgiving is now seen by retailers as a chance to ring up extra sales.
More and more stores have made the decision to open on the holiday to offer massive deals to those looking to get a true jumpstart on shopping.
Unless they have a sudden change of heart, major stores like Walmart, Target, Sears and Best Buy remain committed to interrupting the holiday for employees and their families and will open on Thanksgiving.
But all is not lost as other retailers are refusing the almighty dollar and will stay closed on turkey day.
