DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from the bottom of a pool at a party in Dania Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
An adult noticed the boy, jumped in and pulled him out. It's unclear how long the child was underwater. The boy was pulled from the pool unresponsive and without a pulse, forcing deputies to administer CPR, deputies said.
The boy regained a pulse before being transported to the hospital, deputies said. Fire Rescue units continued to provide advanced life support all the way to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, where the boy was listed in critical condition.
Neighbors looked on as officers swarmed the area, blocking off the home with crime scene tape as investigators from the special victims unit began their work to figure out how this happened.
