Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport plans to reopen Tuesday at noon

Flights had been canceled due to potential threat from Hurricane Dorian

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport plans to reopen Tuesday.

The airport was closed Monday due to the potential impact from Hurricane Dorian.

In a news release, the airport said operations will resume in the afternoon.

Officials are advising that no one should come to the airport prior to the confirmation announcement.

Travelers are urged to confirm flights with their airline before arriving at the airport. 

Additionally, access to airport parking garages to retrieve vehicles will not be allowed before 10 a.m.
