Kathy Hochul has won the Democratic nomination for New York governor, setting her on an expected path to win the governor’s office in November.

New York Attorney General Letitia James plans to run for governor, according to three people directly familiar with her plans who were not authorized to speak publicly.

After being vaulted into the New York governor’s office two months ago, Democrat Kathy Hochul is preparing to run for the job in her own right next year.
