The CDC’s latest numbers, timestamped Sunday, show 1,040 verified cases of the U.K. variant in Florida, plus 21 cases of the Brazilian variant and nine cases of the variant initially identified in South Africa. Michigan has the second-most variant cases in the United States with just over 617. AdLocal 10 News has requested a current breakdown of variant cases by county from the Florida Department of Health. When that data has been revealed previously it has shown the highest concentration of variant cases in South Florida.

The Supreme Court rejected the lawsuit Friday night. “We had no idea, had no way of knowing at the time, that Waltz was not committed to democracy,” the paper wrote Friday. The lawsuit rested on numerous unfounded claims that had been rejected in dozens of lawsuits, including by judges appointed by Trump. Attorney General William Barr told The Associated Press last week there is no evidence of fraud that would have changed the election result.

The Orlando Sentinel reports 50-year-old James Jones has been charged with molestation. Deputies say one of the victims told security that a suspect touched them as he walked by inside Ye Olde Christmas Shop. Disney security were told about another incident at the pre-show area of the Haunted Mansion. Jones is facing charges for the first incident, but the second report is still being investigated.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the 3-year-old boy died Sunday. Orlando police say the boy was playing with a sibling in the laundry room when he somehow got inside the washing machine.
