A verbal dispute between adult brothers left one man in critical condition after being shot multiple times and another taken into custody, according to Miami-Dade Police. Police were called to Northwest 113th Terrace in West Miami Dade about a shooting inside of a home just after 5 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. A preliminary investigation determined that the brother had shot the victim after the two were involved in a verbal dispute, which then escalated into shots fired. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Ryder Trauma Center.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A crime caught on camera shows two brazen thieves that ambushed a driver who was ordering food at a Pollo Tropical. One of the robbers was seen pointing a gun at the victim at the drive-thru near Southwest 152nd Street and Southwest 116th Avenue on Dec. 9. The other thief could be seen on surveillance video banging on the passenger door with a brick. That same car was caught on other surveillance cameras just hours before casing a jewelry store on Southwest 122th Avenue and 8th Street . The men waited for the victim to leave the jewelry store, where he was followed to the fast-food restaurant.

NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A police pursuit that began near Miami Shores ended on a ramp on Interstate 95 in Northeast Miami-Dade late Wednesday afternoon after a Miami-Dade police vehicle collided with a stolen pickup truck. According to Miami-Dade police, the pursuit began at 2:35 p.m. when detectives spotted a stolen pickup truck in the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 81st Street. The driver exited the northbound I-95 ramp at Northwest 103rd Street, where he then attempted to make an illegal U-turn on the ramp, according to MDPD. An officer’s vehicle went in with a dramatic pit maneuver, colliding head-on with the pickup truck and forcing the suspect behind the wheel to stop. The truck was quickly surrounded by officers with guns drawn and the suspect was placed into custody.

MIAMI – The driver of a Jaguar that went off a road in the Little River neighborhood escaped with minor injuries despite how severe the crash appeared. Miami police said the driver ran off the road early Sunday morning, then smashed through a fence before slamming into a building at Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast 75th Street. Police said the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway to find out what caused the crash.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The mother of a 23-year-old woman who shot at an attempted robber at a Valero gas station told Local 10 News that her daughter had a legal license to carry the firearm. Miami-Dade police said the victim shot the suspect multiple times during the attempted robbery. Miami-Dade Police said the shooting took place at 7 a.m. at the gas station near Northwest 79th Street and 13th Court. Neighbors told Local 10 News they heard gunshots. Resident Carlos Frometa lives next to the gas station and told Local 10 News’ Annaliese Garcia he heard what sounded like three gun shots.

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. – A witness recounted to Local 10 News what happened that led to an 11-year-old boy being struck by a car. While two cars did stop at the red light, a third did not and hit the child. On Thursday, Sunny Isles Beach Police Chief Dwight Snyder was joined at a news conference by Vice Mayor Larisa Svenchin. The child was struck by a car wile crossing Sunny Isles Boulevard near A1A on Wednesday night. Detectives questioned the driver, who did stop, as to while she failed to stop for the red light.

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A pick-up truck riddled with bullets sat in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven near Northwest 95th Street and 17th Avenue on Saturday night. Police are working to piece together what happened — the truck may have pulled in to the gas station with the victims inside already shot. Officers arriving to the gas station at 9455 NW 17th Avenue found one man shot and a 7-year-old injured in the gunfire. A 7-year-old, who was grazed by a bullet, was released after being treated at the scene, according to police. AdInvestigators said they don’t have much of a description of the shooter and need the public’s help to get information.

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Police say they have detained a woman in connection with an investigation into a stabbing in front of a convenience store. On Saturday afternoon around 4:15 p.m., Miami-Dade Police were called to Northwest 79th Street and NW 32nd Avenue after a report of a fight. The man was transported to a local hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Detectives are investigating details of the stabbing and tell Local 10 that the information, at this time, is preliminary. There is no information about the condition of the person who was stabbed.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A deadly car crash in Southwest Miami-Dade claimed the life of one person and sent three others to area trauma centers. Miami-Dade Police said the single-car accident happened along Southwest 238 Street, just east of the Florida Turnpike on Sunday at approximately 5 p.m.Nashira Amundarian witnessed the crash and immediately called 911. The 4th person involved in the crash, a 22-year-old male, died at the scene. SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A one-car crash in Southwest Miami Dade sent 5 people to the hospital early Saturday morning. Miami-Dade Police said they responded to a vehicle crash in the area of SW 128th Street and 137th Avenue. When Local 10 arrived at the scene, a 4-door Infiniti was wrecked and mangled after crashing into a palm tree. KENDALL, Fla. – Miami-Dade Police identified the two people found Tuesday in a Kendall luxury home, a property listed as a short-term rental, near The Falls. Police said the deaths of Tyron C. Coleman, 23, and Jessica Moye, 26, have been ruled a homicide. The residence was listed on several short-term rental sites as a five-bedroom home with a capacity for 10 to 14 guests. MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – SWAT officers responded to a building in Northwest Miami-Dade County late Wednesday night. What police called an “ongoing investigation” was happening near Northwest 167th Street and 1st Avenue at the Roadway Inn. This is the second time officers were called to the immediate area. Early Wednesday morning, the body of a man was discovered at a Speedway Gas Station just across the street. When asked if the two incidents are related, Miami-Dade Police said detectives are “exhausting all leads relating to the death investigation" from the gas station.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Three boys, ages 9, 14 and 17-years-old who were found Sunday in the courtyard of an apartment complex and all with gunshot wounds, may have been the only ones involved in the shooting. The shooting in Goulds at the Arthur Mays Public Housing project happened around 3 p.m. Sunday. The 9-year-old boy was shot in the stomach and was airlifted to Kendall Regional Medical Center. Police have not released many details about the shooting, about the gun, or what the three boys were doing with the gun, or where they got it. The 9-year-old boy remains in critical condition.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A shooting in the Goulds neighborhood has left two teens and a young boy injured. Miami-Dade Police responded Sunday afternoon to the courtyard of a residential community regarding several people shot near Southwest 216th Street and Southwest 113th Avenue, just north of Goulds Park. When police arrived around 3 p.m., they said they discovered three male shooting victims — a 9, 14 and 17-year-old. Detectives did say that the key to solving the case will come from neighbors and other people who were in the area when the shooting happened. “At this point in time, we don’t have a lot of information, so we’re going to require the community’s assistance in providing additional information,” Welch said.

MIAMI – A violent incident onboard a Delta flight from Miami to Atlanta ended with two passengers being escorted off the flight. Video shot by a witness appears to show a fracas between several passengers and a flight attendant. At one point, a woman is seen hitting the flight attendant in the face. “At this point we’re, like, two hours behind,” recalled passenger Lauryn England, who shot the video. The plane then moved back to the gate, when a woman started confronting the flight attendant.

BAL HARBOUR, Fla. – Miami-Dade Police are searching for a silver KIA sedan that fled the scene after striking a bicyclist on Collins Avenue. Police said around 6 p.m. on Saturday, a 14-year-old was riding along the 10200 block of Collins Avenue. The vehicle was traveling northbound when the driver struck the bicyclist. The silver KIA sedan should have front right-end and windshield damage, according to police. MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. Miami-Dade Police will be watching closely for impaired drivers during the upcoming July 4 holiday weekend. The department says it will be doing enhanced enforcement with its special patrol bureau motorcycle unit on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. A DUI enforcement initiative will be set up from 6 p.m. Thursday until 2 a.m. Friday on SW 88 Street between 117 Avenue and 157 Avenue. Countywide enhanced enforcement will take place from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. both Friday and Saturday nights.

AVENTURA, Fla. – Two Aventura schools were placed on lockdown near Ives Dairy Road after one of the school’s police officers heard gunshots fired in the area. Miami-Dade Police said that they located gun shell casings in the area and as a precaution they put two schools on lockdown. Just a few miles away and not long after the officer heard the shots, a man showed up at Aventura Hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand. Florida Highway Patrol investigated and reported that the shooting occurred on the eastbound lanes of Ives Dairy Road in the area of N.E. One of the schools that was on lockdown was Madie Ives K-8 Preparatory Academy on N.E.

MIAMI - A threat that gained traction through social media and concerned Miami-Dade residents this week has been deemed not to be credible by law enforcement. The threat which went viral via mutliple social media platforms claimed a person was planning on a "mass murder" while on vacation in Miami.
