Florida Panthers parade: Sights and sounds include bagpipes, drums, pots, pans, horns, chants

Fans chant ‘Let’s go Panthers’ along A1A from Riomar to 5th Street

FORT LAUDERDALE BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Champions celebrated with their fans on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The sounds during the parade included bagpipes, drums, pots and pans, honks, horns, and sirens — but the “Let’s go Panthers” chant took over along State A1A from Riomar to Southeast Fifth Street.

A couple on a terrace at Castillo Street rhythmically hit their pans with spoons and danced, as they waited for the line of red double-decker buses with the players, the Stanely Cup and Title Belt.

Groups of white-clad Florida Panthers dancers performed along A1A and in front of the stage near Fifth Street. There were many moments fans are sure to never forget.

As the parade was close to ending, Ryan Lomberg ran through a crowd of fans holding the Stanley Cup. Matthew Tkachuk ran into the Atlantic Ocean with fans.
