MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins earned a shutout win over the New York Jets on Sunday, and likely wouldn’t have been able to do so without a much-needed performance by their star defensive end/ linebacker Bradley Chubb.
Chubb dominated up front against the Jets during Miami’s 30-0 home win. The 27-year-old recorded seven tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery during Sunday’s win.

The first of the forced fumbles set the Dolphins up on the Jets’ 1-yard-line in the first quarter and led to the first of two touchdowns by running back Raheem Mostert. It also helped Chubb earn the award for AFC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Chubb now has 64 tackles, 9.5 sacks, a league-high six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on the season.
Chubb and the Dolphins’ defense will now try to add to those totals against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve.
Miami gambled during the 2023 trade deadline when they sent a first-round pick, a fourth-round pick and running back Chase Edmonds for Chubb and a fifth-round selection before giving the linebacker a massive extension.
Just over a year later, it looks like the Dolphins have once again hit the jackpot.
A Dolphins victory against “America’s Team” on Sunday would clinch a playoff spot for Miami.
